Mexico Youth Mission Trip
July 13 - 23, 2004
Luna, Mexico

The Youth began working in January to raise funds for the four youth and our pastor that went on the mission trip.  They reached their goal by early summer and then were able to focus on preparing for their trip.

Their mission was to a small, poor fishing town called Media Luna which is on the coast of the Laguna Madre in the Gulf of Mexico. They did a lot of relationship building, had Bible Club for the children in the morning and Preaching meetings for the town in the evening.  As the Lord worked in people's lives the intention was that an evangelical church might be started in Media Luna. This trip was one of several missions that have been focused on this village. They were received graciously and there was much evidence of God being at work among the people there.

Our church began praying for the mission trip to Mexico and continued until the Youth and our pastor returned home.  We are still praying that the seeds that were planted by their work will remain with those people and God will be honored by what was done.

The trip was sponsored by and organized by To Every Tribes Missions.  This mission organization especially focuses on places where there is no evangelical witness with the intention of starting churches among those people.  The entire Mission Team was made up from several churches from the United States.
